Who we are
At Women In Restoration (R.I.S.E.), our mission is simple yet powerful: not just to survive, but to thrive. We are dedicated to helping women reach their full potential through education, housing assistance, employment support, counseling, financial guidance, and parenting development. More than a program, we are a safe haven—a place where women can find both resources and encouragement as they work to rebuild their lives.
Over the past six months, we’ve worked tirelessly to establish partnerships and build momentum toward this vision. Our accomplishments already include a GED program, trade programs, employment partnerships with fast-food chains, and a referral program with the Department of Corrections. Each of these steps reflects our unwavering commitment to changing lives and creating opportunity where it may have once seemed out of reach.
What makes us unique is our focus. R.I.S.E. is Florence, South Carolina’s only community-based organization solely dedicated to the needs of homeless women, women re-entering society after incarceration, women overcoming addiction, and survivors of domestic violence. We believe these women are not defined by their past, but by the resilience and strength they carry into their future.
Our vision is to inspire women to dream big, work hard, and step into leadership in their own lives. By becoming productive, responsible, and self-sufficient members of their communities, the women we serve grow into role models who will uplift others. In this way, our mission is self-sustaining: empowered women empowering women.
As we grow, we will continue to collaborate with nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community leaders to expand our reach and provide life-changing resources. Together, we can create a cycle of restoration, empowerment, and hope for generations to come.
